Online Estate Sales: Upcoming Auctions, The Process, And The Cost

online estate sales

Online estate sales are becoming the new standard for people who would like to find amazing deals on high-quality goods, without ever leaving the comfort of their own homes. Long gone are the days where you have to stand in a noisy, crowded room and desperately call out your bids and fight other people for what you want. Now, you can set the computer to “auto-bid” and gradually win the items you most desire. In the world of estate auctions online, DynaCorp Auctions is the best of the best. We only accept estates from art and antique collectors, government employees, corporate CEOs and other high-profile clients. You won’t find any “junk” here!

How The Process Works

Many people are unfamiliar with how online estate sales work, but it’s really quite simple. First, you visit and click “REGISTER” in the right hand corner of the screen. You will then enter your name, email, address and credit card information. However, it is FREE to sign up! Your card will have a $1 hold put on it for three days while we verify and authorize your account. You will not be charged, but you may see it as a temporary “pending” notification in your account.

If you scroll down on the homepage, you will see a list of the estate sale auctions that are currently available. You can then click to enter and place your bid. You can place a “max bid” if you’d like — and the computer will keep outbidding your competitors, cent by cent until you’ve won or until someone has bid higher. When you win an item, your card will be charged and you will be immediately notified by email. You can then make shipping arrangements or pick up your item at our Chantilly, Virginia auction house.

When you win an item, you will be charged your max bid offer, plus a 10 percent buyer’s premium, plus local sales tax. Keep this in mind when placing your max bids. Christie’s Auction House charges a 25 percent premium on all purchases, so you’ll find we offer surprisingly reasonable bidding rates! Since our online estate sales are fairly small, you will not have to worry about bidding against hundreds of people (most sales only have 8-10 bidders at most vying for a single item), so the cost of the items is kept very low.
